Guests at the Inn at Stockbridge have enjoyed Shakespeare and Company and have marveled at its growth.  Alice & Len Schiller have enjoyed having Tina Packer and her husband Dennis at the Inn many times when they had breakfast with one of our favorite guests Frances Martinson.  Frances and her late husband Paul are founding members and members of  the board of Trustees. We have fond memories of these special times.

Shakespeare & Company operates year-round in the Berkshires, scheduling hundreds of performances on two stages, scores of workshops, multiple lectures and demonstrations and literally thousands of classes for professional and aspiring actors and  teachers ranging in age from 8-80.

Shakespeare & Company is about 2 miles North of the Inn at Stockbridge on Kemble Street.  The big news is the opening of the Elayne P Bernstein theatre.  The lights will come on and the stage will come to life with wordplay, swordplay, action and laughter.

At the Inn we invite you to share the 'conjuration and mighty magic' in founders Theatre with the new stage and at the always free and lively Bankside Festival and Rose footprint theatre.  Give in to the spell and special effects.  Be transported and transformed and let it give you the wisdom, curiosity and courage to explore life around you, the Berkshires, the Inn at Stockbridge and all that is right in this world.
