February is for Valentines & Love

Valentines Day is February 14, but at the Inn at Stockbridge bed&breakfast in the Berkshires we are celebrating love and Valentines all month long. Stay at the inn for 2 or more nights the entire month of February and we will have chocolate covered strawberries waiting in you room for your arrival. For a 3 night stay we will also have waiting for you a split of champagne. You can also take advantage of our stay more save more special the entire month as well as March & April.

Love can also be a bit dangerous. For a merry wicked time visit Shakespeare & Company in Lenox MA and see Les Liasons Dangerous.
Love is the ultimate weapon! This wickedly entertaining story of love, sex and betrayal is as sumptuously guilt-inducing as a decadent chocolate you just can't resist. Depicting the devious schemes of French aristocrats on the cusp of the Revolution, it heats up the intimate Bernstein Theatre at Shakespeare & Company this winter under the direction of Founding Artistic Director Tina Packer.

Packer directs Elizabeth Aspenlieder, who won the coveted Elliot Norton Award for her tour de force performance in Bad Dates last winter, and Josh Aaron McCabe, most recently seen last fall as Sherlock Holmes (and a host of other characters, both male and female) in the runaway hit The Hound of the Baskervilles. Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Dangerous Liaisons) was ahead of its time as a novel in 1782 and it still may be ahead of its time today.
This play is running until March 21.

We Love Repeat Guests at The Inn at Stockbridge

Alice & Len Schiller, owner/innkeepers of The Inn at Stockbridge have had the distinct pleasure of running the Inn for over fourteen years. Over the years we have come to know many of the guests that have stepped through our doors. This is what we enjoy most about innkeeping.

Kim & Doug Feest first came to the Inn as a young married couple in 1997. Over the years they have returned many times. Doug remembers walking through the barn when it was under construction with Len. He really admires the finished product. Over the years Kim and Doug have stayed in many rooms and are amazed how we upkeep and maintain the property. Doug & Kim now have a 7 year old daughter Isabella.

I had the pleasure of chatting with Doug & Kim over breakfast. We talked about losses, divorces of friends and family, moving and health issues. It was as if we were old friends catching up. They told me how a night at the Inn renews and refreshes them to face lifes challenges.

Doug works for Clydel as a production tool maker and Kim is employed at the Hartford group as a team lead.

Kim and Doug hope to return to the Inn when they need a break in the near future and I will enjoy catching up with old friends.

Valentines Day at The Inn at Stockbridge

Valentines Day at The Inn at Stockbridge
Rahul & Lulu joined The Inn at Stockbridge and the Berkshire Elegant Country Inns on a carriage ride for Valentines day. Rahul is an attorney in Washington DC and travelled by train to spend the weekend with his girlfriend Lulu who lives in NYC. Rahul & Lulu met in Law school at the University of Michigan in 2005. They were in the same class during the first year and started dating. They dated throughout law school and took jobs that caused them to have a long distance relationship. Rahul works in the health care law and Lilu in corporate law. They started talking with another couple who is an employee at firm for which lulu is working on a buy out. Its a small world at the Inn and people usually find a connection.
Rahul comes from Indian ancestry and was raised in New Jersey and Lulu is Taiwanese.and raised in Georgia.
Rahul and Lulu wanted to go to the Berkshires and found the Inn. Living in big cities they wanted to go to the country. They were thrilled to actually see the stars.
Len & Alice Schiller wish to congratulate Rahul is is being sworn in to the NYS Bar on Tuesday. We hope the this wonderful couple manage to be together and hope to see them at the Inn again.
